9/25 Today I was secretly hoping that we wouldn’t have our 2nd half of ministry. Ever since we arrived here in Swaziland I have really wanted to pray for someone in their home. So this morning I asked the Lord what he had for me. Instantly this dream and hope was brought back to my mind. We went through the day doing skits, songs and coloring sheets we spent 2 hours making for our preschoolers the night before. Then this afternoon a little girl, who last week, wrote me the sweetest letter asked us to walk her home. We asked how many kilometers? And she said “MANY, MANY” We continued walking hand in hand for about 3 miles, with this sweet girl and her sister down the busy Swazi roads, where cars zoom past at over 120 km/h. We finally arrived at her home. Some of my teammates walked her inside, then Millie runs out and says “ JORDAN YOU HAVE TO GO IN THERE!!! SHE HAS YOUR PAINTING ON THE WALL!!!"  As I step through the door to the house I see my little Swazi friend standing against the wall in front of me and my painting of the house in the mountains taped to the wall alongside a photograph of her and her sister.

📷 Her mother then walks out of the kitchen in her pink pajama pants and invites us all 5 of us to sit down on the couch and chairs. Her mothers name is REJOICE. We got to talk to Rejoice about her kids, where she was raised, how she got married at 16, then we asked if there were any ways that we could be praying for her. And through broken English sentences, she told us about her husband, how he lost his job and they are struggling to have enough food & money. How this morning the kids couldn’t have breakfast before school.

We told her over and over again we believed the Lord would provide, that He is faithful, and He sees this house and this family, and in that little house, sitting on the couches we all joined hands and prayed over Rejoice and her family. And it was such a sweet moment and I’m so thankful that God sent us to answer a prayer, not to provide food, but to provide the hope of Jesus. As we left she just kept saying thank you, thank you! And she took a picture of us to show her husband their new friends and that God is good!!!

Also the whole time walking there all I could think of was the quote, “We’re all just walking each other home” Which is oh so true, it is so easy in life to get caught up in our routines and schedules and miss the beautiful fact that we are all journeying through this life together, and our mission and goal is to walk each other home to heaven hand in hand.

Amongst other updates, the water here has been going out just about every time I need to cook, take a shower, or do laundry. I would turn the knob and just (drip, drip, drip.) So my teammates Emma, Ashley and I attempted to walk a far distance with buckets of water. Needless to say we failed, miserably, laughing and spilling about half of it along the way. However it was worth it because we were finally able to get our much needed laundry and showers done. We have continued our ministry with the children each day and on the 8th we will be heading to Lesotho!!!! Also I have had access to wifi a few times but it is not capable of uploading any of the photos and videos I have. So this Monday I will hopefully be uploading them to this blog as well as my previous one!!!!

thank you all so much for reading this :) and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
