Nsoko, Swaziland, the place I am currently calling home.

I have danced and sang, taught songs to preschoolers, played on the monkey bars, drew pictures and colored, laughed and held many sweet children, and as I hold them close to my heart I pray they will grow up and know the love their Heavenly Father has for them, and how wonderfully precious they are in His eyes. This month we are working at care points, which are where kids go after school to receive spiritual nourishment as well as potentially their only meal for the day.

Today was our first official day of ministry, and we stepped into this tiny little building

which is the school building for around 30 preschoolers. Their teacher, Zanele, has truly amazing patience and joy. I loved hearing the children sing their songs in English for us. They had us preform a couple songs for them, Rachel had her ukulele and we sang many songs. When we sang you’ve got a friend in me the lyric that goes “when you’re miles and miles from your nice warm bed” hit me right in the feels as I ACTUALLY AM thousands of miles away from home, yet, I have a friend and a family in my team and in the bright eyed children of Swaziland that surround me. Also it hadn’t rained here in a very long time, After days of praying and singing for rain and after a giant sandstorm it finally rained and revived the dry land, providing much needed water for many people and animals in this country. Thank you all so much and I can’t wait to update you again soon
