I was sitting here looking for something big that happened to blog about. But decided on just a few of the little moments that have made up the last week life here in Lesotho.
-watched Marley & Me with Emma, bawled my eyes out
-planted peach trees
-carried buckets of water back and forth for an hour
-spilt coffee all over my one skirt that I packed
-handwashed laundry (including the coffee skirt)
-watched “the rains (& hail) down in Africa”
-played murder in the dark, got scared, ran into stage, & got a real nice bruise
-played ukulele
-cut off 7+ inches of my own hair on the front porch
-rode in a taxi for 7 hours (forgot my headphones & had to listen to like the same song the whole time! may or may not have cried)
-watched “the Secret Life of Walter Mitty”
-played a game like Little Sally Walker with kids on their way to school
-made Christmas ornaments out of tin can lids
-spent 3 hours removing corn kernels from the cob (filled up 4 giant bowls)
-played countless games of nerts
-walked 5+ miles every day
-watched the sunset over the mountains from the front porch
I'd encourage you to take a piece of paper, or open notes in your phone and rewind, remember, look back upon the little golden moments that have made up the past week of your life!
