I am currently in Atlanta at launch and leaving just got super real!!! Tonight we had a time of worship with our parents and it was so breathtakingly powerful and beautiful! Tomorrow I will have lunch with my family and then will have to say goodbye for the next nine months.
I never quite anticipated how hard saying goodbye would be. Leaving everyone and everything I’ve ever known behind, and in doing so realizing how many wonderful people God has placed in my life. There were many tears as I parted ways with close friends and family. (I may have even shed some tears saying bye to my pug, Mugz-e.)
My team member Rachel Lynn summed up how I've been feeling perfectly!!!
"After spending the past few weeks contemplating what a life dying to myself looks like, I look forward to it. Because the more I decrease, the more room for Jesus to increase. Never once has it been or will it be about me. When it feels like I'm dying, there's peace knowing it's all for Him and His glory. And although it's hard to let go of control and comfort at times, His Kingdom is more than worth it."
This step in saying yes to God is painful yet beautiful as I know how much He has in store if I just take that step and allow Him to lead. I cannot wait to update you all in all that God is doing. Also thank you so very much to everyone who has helped me get here!!!! LOVE YOU ALL LOTS!!!
