106 Years Old!

We are living in a mountain village called Malealea Valley in Lesotho this month , and it is honestly the most beautiful place I have ever seen. We are surrounded by layers upon layers mountains, trees, valleys, villages, and the stars that illuminate the sky each night literally take my breath away. Most of the homes here are little mud huts with beautiful blue doors.

Each day we walk around 4 miles a day to other nearby villages, share the word of God with people in their homes, pray for them, and help them with chores, such as laundry, dishes, sweeping, cooking. This week we sat under a tree with a woman named Latisia and her dog happy, an adorable lady in a big yellow hat, we also met a woman who was 106 years old!!!! She was so adorable and frail and just sitting in her presence literally blew my mind, the fact that she has been alive for nearly 100 years more than me. I sat there admiring her wise eyes and beautiful wrinkled skin, thinking about all the memories and stories she holds throughout all her years. She was so incredibly sweet, we got to share scripture and laughter with her, she also held out her hand and asked us for some tobacco, which made us all giggle.

I am so excited to get to go out each day and build relationships with these people, and do even just the little things, like laundry, to show the wondrous love of Christ.
